Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ –1 teaspoon ground ginger to taste
  • ½ –¾ teaspoon ground turmeric to taste
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Small dash freshly ground black pepper
  • Natural sweetener of choice such as maple syrup, honey, or a plant-based sweetener, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Add the milk, water, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper to a small saucepan.
  • Warm gently over medium heat, stirring often, for about 5 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
  • Whisk in the cacao powder until smooth and fully blended.
  • Sweeten to taste with your preferred natural sweetener.
  • For a creamy finish, whisk vigorously or use a milk frother before serving.
