- 1 large ripe avocado
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 small garlic clove
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ½ cup fresh cilantro leaves or parsley for a milder flavor
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 –2 tablespoons water or olive oil optional, to thin sauce
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
Add Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
Blend until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a thinner sauce, blend in 1–2 tablespoons of water or olive oil.
