Ingredients
  

  • 8 –10 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices bread lightly dried or toasted and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon salt optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  • Add the cooked sausage, shredded cheese, bread cubes, and salt (if using). Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake for 30–45 minutes, or until the casserole is set in the center and lightly golden on top.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
