Ingredients
  

  • Wontons and Sauce:
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil divided
  • 225 g 8 oz shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 garlic clove finely grated
  • 340 g 12 oz frozen chicken wontons
  • 1 –2 cups chicken broth adjust for desired soupiness
  • ½ cup teriyaki-style sauce
  • 1 –2 tablespoons chili crisp to taste
  • Toppings:
  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Sauté the Mushrooms:
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 4–5 minutes until softened and lightly golden. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.
  • Simmer the Wontons:
  • Add the frozen chicken wontons to the pan along with the chicken broth and teriyaki-style sauce. Cover and simmer gently for about 5 minutes, or until the wontons are fully heated through.
  • Finish the Dish:
  • Drizzle in the remaining sesame oil and stir in the chili crisp. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve:
  • Spoon into bowls and finish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
